Vale lembrar que o Rating e os Pontos de Campeão seriam duas coisas distintas.
eu gosto da idéia. Já foi sugerido anteriormente que o campeão de um torneio ganhasse rating, e isso seria absurdo. A forma proposta pelo Ricardo é válida, e muito legal. Como dito, é um incentivo para que os jogadores participem dos torneios.

I like the ideas of this 'championship' standing but perhaps only counting points for the given year. Sort of like the year-end ATP tennis standings. I can add a third page to the current set that I've posted (http://www.softgun.ca/qatour.html) and show these points for the given year. I generally like rbivanov's ideas but I'm not sure that a 'programmers' scoring system is necessary. Rather a simpler set like 10,5,3,2,1 for Elite through Beginner respectively. Open and Private could still score something like 3 and 1. Only if Bergman starts making his own tournaments will the scoring be compromised but we can't take this too seriously anyhow.

I put up a tentative listing for 2010 so you can see what it looks like. I knocked down the Open tournament win to two points to match with rbivanov's suggestion, making it equivalent to an Intermediate tournament.

So because I play a lot I am ranked 24th? How about taking points off for every tournament entered and not won? I dare say that I'd be ranked 24th from the bottom!
