To be fair, Miguel ran the site very efficiently for many years. Why he decided to absent himself in the last few months is anyone's guess. I prefer to think the best of people.

I had a lucky break, because a player who has clearly left the site decided to log back in and resign his games! But I will continue to lobby for a more general solution ...

Although this tournament has not been going very long, it does seem to be an example of one player "failing to do his duty". If we had automatic time defaults, this would not happen!

I don't think so - as yet! There is one very weird game where a player is beating someone rated a 1000 points above him (!), and another where there is an unpunished time default, but only when the first game finishes does this tournament meet my criteria.
