I personally like the idea of teams as well. The teams will even have there own ratings independent of individual ratings (IE: you dont suffer if a team mate loses a match in a tournament) I agree with the 6 team member format.

I don't think Appalachia's suggestion will work. QueenAlice is a free site for a good reason.
After user-created tournaments, teams are the most important feature QueenAlice must implement.
On other sites, many players develop a strong loyalty to their team. Teams will strengthen QueenAlice's community spirit.
I don't support ideas to limit the size of teams. Other sites handle large teams by having both team captains pick the same number of representatives for the match.

Another site I play on uses a team format. Teams can have an unlimited number of players, and challenge other teams to a match. Both captains must agree on the amount of boards, and assign players, then the match is underway!

Yes, Nerdling, that's how it works on GameKnot, where I used to play at.

Teams are a great way to build the community : It reinforces a spirit of BONDING. I thought for sure we'd have teams by now.Queen Alice is a great site; Team play just raises the bar.
