Three of my favourite tunes are "Tea for Two"(1925), "Music to Watch Girls By"(1967?), and "A Summer Place" (1959?), all of which must also be good for dancing. Which just goes to show that, no matter one's age, music of any generation can be popular. "Elevator Music" (derogatory term!!) also gives me peace of mind when playing chess and the serenity to advance up the board like an unstoppable, oncoming wave...

I like music of 80's year, like the international Starship, Glenn Frey, Madonna, Cindy Lauper, Alphaville, Falco, Brian Ferry, Eurythmics, Pet Shop Boys, and others; the national Chico Buarque, Blitz, Barão vermelho, Camisa de Vênus, Biquini Cavadão, RPM, Rádio Táxi, Guilherme Arantes, Lulu Santos, Lobão, and others; but I want to cite, in special, the french singer Patricia Kaas.
