I'm glad you like my idea.
That the webmaster has responded that he plans to implement it in the future is a huge boost.
One of the factors I consider when looking for a good site is "support". When I post a suggestion, will others discuss about it, and will it be implemented if it's good? The response on QueenAlice, particularly the webmaster's reply, is very encouraging.
I own a forum hosted on Google Groups, and we have an Icebreaker thread where newcomers can introduce themselves. Established users also post their introductions so newcomers can get to know everyone just by reading the thread.
When I posted this suggestion on ChessHere, someone suggested we have a similar thread, and when a new user completes the signup process, they should be referred to this thread to quickly introduce themselves.
However, please wait until I've decided which site to stick to. If I choose QueenAlice, I wish to be the starter of the Icebreaker thread so I can quickly become an established member recognized for my contributions to the community.

Thanks for welcoming me, the newcomer! Hopefully when this idea is implemented, you'll have lots of newcomers to welcome!

Stick to...? why not belong to all of them, they are all great sites, if you limited yourself to one site, is that not like pretending the rest of the world does not exsist...

Anyone4chess, I don't have enough time to play at two chess sites. Besides online chess, I also have e-mail, instant messaging, several online communities, two gaming sites and my blog.
