I'd have to say the chicken, one celled organism's evolved into chickens through millions of years, who then layed egg's. No chicken to lay an egg = no egg.

To me it looks strange, u can have millions of chicken (hen) but egg would remain a fairy tale without a rooster.

Actually, you only need the rooster if you want an egg with a baby chicken inside. The eggs you buy to eat are unfertilized -- no rooster is involved -- which is why they don't contain a chicken!
