Woah...
I might not agree with everything he does, but Onceupon definitely doesn't meet the "requirements" to be a "troll".
That's almost rude.

Once, seigneur, you are both right. I was in a bad mood. I apologise. In fact, not agreeing is more than half of the fun on a forum.
Re: Male sexist chess players: A Dutch master naned Donner, who also wrote a newspaper column, harped on his idea that women could not play chess well, frequently. Somebody criticized him with: "That's tantamount to saying negroes cannot play chess." His reply: "I never said that, only that negresses can't play chess." Of course, back in those days, guys like Donner did not get their assed sued for such insensitivity...

On Chessbase there was a video (from YouTube) that showed Fischer during an interview, where he was asked his opinion about women playing chess, and then women as a whole (because of what he said about women playing chess, evidently).
Fischer really isn't so much a genius in regards to understanding humanity (Jews, women, etc.), but he gave me the impression to use common places more often than not when he was asked about women. If they were actual common places, then it just shows that things have changed a bit since then (and that's a good thing).

It's the last one at bottom. (Just remember though that this was in the sixties, where people didn't know the meaning of equality).
