Is there a debate between women and chess?

No debate : Women who like to play chess play chess, but it happens most of them do not like it, or do not have time, or are discouraged, that is all. Yesterday, I played in a rapid tournament (7 rounds of 2*20mn) : 52 players, 3 women... Most of male chessplayers were complaining about the "lack of feminine players"... I must admit I do not know what to do about it. I really enjoyed this tournament : 4/7, gained 276 points, 2 prices (the "feminine one" + 2d of my category ), and the two other feminine chessplayers too, that means we women really have a place there... Asked other women (mostly coming there with their kids or husbands) why they were not playing, the answers have been : "How courageous you are, I simply could not : would be afraid of being ridiculous when loosing !" "no time" "women brain is not made for it : too logical" "my little boy would not let me" (???) "it is a men's world" "I am not patient enough" ....
