Maybe, maybe not : perhaps chess led me to maths... Anyway, women are not less skilled than men at math or chess, this is sure ! Demonstration : most of the opponents who loose against me are men ! (joke !)

Intimidation often brings on diarrhoea.

I said I was joking because this sentence is not significant : 1- it is obvious that most of the opponents who loose against me are men, simply because most of my opponents are men ! 2- for the same reason, most of my opponents who win are men too ! 3- among my rare female opponents, only 2 won because only 2 were as experimented in chess as I was, the others were beginners, accompanying their husbands and kids on tournaments.
Conclusion : there are so little female chessplayers (in France, only 4% of the licensed players are female, most of them children...) that no statistic result is significant.

Check the difference between loose and lose.

Onceupon: Lose/loose is a mistake a lot of people born in America make these days. Very disturbing. I'd cut some slack to a Frenchman. OTOH, I'm curious about those "little female chessplayers." Does she mean they are short, young, both?
