H E L P! We can't open our outside doors! The temperature has remained about minus 7 Fahrenheit all day and the wind chill must be terrible. Snow blowing so thick I can't see very far. At least the birds can get at their feeders. We even have a pair of those nasty starlings. They should have flown south with the rest of their kind. We still have power but all travel is forbidden. We have not had a storm like this for years. Global warming?
We are fine, thanks! The sun is shining, the plows opened the highway so that traffic flowing and my husband used the hair dryer to thaw the back door open so that he could dig out the front steps. He was bundled up like an Eskimo! It was minus 15 degrees F. That is minus 43 celsius, I believe. Now we have to wait for one of the farmers who live close by to plow out our driveway. One of them drove in part way and checked it out, bless his heart. No mail. It comes from Fargo which is 125 miles NE of us. But hey! This is my day off from teaching piano, so I can stay home.
