I agree with the deception of you two (Lydgate & Chesspool).
But just think about the possibility.
There is always a place for a mistake, you never know.
I do mistakes.

Yes, I believe in mistakes, and I have made my share of them, but I can't believe that a player that is in a losing position, and waits until the very last minute to play is playing for a draw, or a mistake from the other party, because their time is obviously being watched closely, to make their play at the very last moment. If that fact wasn't apart of the equation, then I would believe the player was possibly playing for a draw, or mistake, but in my case I can't believe otherwise than poor sportmanship.

Waiting until your opponent's mind is completely off the game in question might be the best strategy with which to sneak in that draw.

I agree with Onceupon.
And let's remember that the time control is a right for each player. If he wants to play only in the last second, it's his right.
There is a similarity in football (the real one, not the american): when a team starts to kick the ball off or the players start to fall every time, to gain some time, instead of reach the opponent's area and make a goal.
