Yes, but the rating system is highly corrective. As long as there are not too many folks doing these irregular activities, your rating will quickly return to it's normal level. The reason being that your incorrectly deflated rating will reap larger rewards (or smaller drops) in the next few game results. In just a few games, you are back to where you should be.
The same goes for when you claim any game on time. This is hardly a justified rating increase and yet one need not worry about it too much as the correction will happen quickly enough.
The abundance of cheats on QA is ruining the whole idea of the club, i.e. games between friendly and honest players. Until the arrival of appropriate software the only way to prevent the nuisance of cheats is not to have tournaments,(or create your own with bone fide opponents). As there are no prizes to be won in tournaments anyway why not just stick to challenging players as white and black. Then there is nothing to be gained by using several names - if I play the same player I'm either going to beat him or not, no matter what his name is.
