Do you understand what it means to be an ally? We did not invade Vietnam. South Vietnam was our ally; North Vietnam was allied with the USSR. When NV invaded SV, SV asked for our help. We gave it. We freed Grenada. Panama was already ours, and we gave them their liberty. When the USSR came in, they took over, and kept all they could. When we come in, we come with the plan to leave. Iraq's dictator murdered thousands of his own people, and threatened us as well. If these murderous jerks who keep killing their own people in Iraq will ever quit doing so, we will leave there, too.

Tewald: I think that there are more complicated reason that just "we are the good guys and we will set you free"... not for nothing nobody wants to set free Cuba, or all the others south american countries that were into military goverment years ago. There is no country that do something for nothing... Robin Hood doesnt exist, no in this century.

Pentotal: So you can't believe that anyone would do something just because it's the right thing to do?

I don't think "the right thing to do" is a collective thing - more of an individual choice. Governments always act in their own countries interests..."the right thing" for a government is to further their interests..
