It's not tewald's fault that his government invaded Vietnam, Grenada and Panama and supported the overthrow of the Guatemalan president and an attempted invasion of Cuba during the Cold War.
However, tewald is arguing that the USSR was aggressive and expansionist and wrongly expected that the USA would be just like them. These interventions show that the USA was aggressive in attempting to replace foreign governments perceived to be against the USA with governments that would be friendly to the USA.
