The word in Hebrew for the man created on the sixth day is Adam. The Hebrew word used for the man created in Genesis chpt. 2 is Hah Adam meaning THE Adam. The sixth day creation are the people whom Cain said would slay him when he was cast out of the garden of Eden. He later took a wife from these people. This can only mean that the residents of the garden of Eden were aware of these other people, or at least Cain was.
