All set, 24 teams to start.
Deadline was wednesday 7 nov.12.00 G.M.T., and I stick to that. Rep. of South Africa is still working on the Team, and will be the first standby Team, as they responded before Singgapoe and are higher rated as well.
This deadline count also for making alterations in a team.
I advice all Team-Captains to have a player stand-by. In case a player don,t confirm within a week, after the tournament appeared in their Tournament pagem, they can be replaced and confirmed within a week by their Captains. If not they will be deleted, and that team loses 1 player.
This is to make sure the tournament starts max. within a two weeks.
Teams of which I know, who have already standby,s are: the Netherlands, Portugal,Canada,Belgium,Croatia,New Zealand,Germany,Spain A and B,Philippines and Europe.
Somewhere above at this page, I made a calculation mistake.
The teams will be devided into two groups of 12, by rating, as counted at deadline as follows:
A.C.E.: numbers 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24
B.D.F.: numbers 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23

1- What is a standby team? (Is it a BYE in a round?)
2- Do I need to confirm anything else?
3- What is a "player stand-by"? (Is it to keep players paying attention to the news?)

1.The team standby is Team Singapore.
They will not compete if all 24 teams confirm at their tournament page.
(around or just after coming weekend)
Singapore the standby team because they were the last to respond and also the lowest rated team.
I did this, because from 1 team I,m not so sure. They hardly read their messages.
2.You don,t need to confirm anything else, if you are sure your 3 players will enter the tournament.
3.The "player stand-by" could replace a player, if that player did not confirm at his tournament page, within 7 days, after the tournament appeared.
Then the Captain or me can contact the player who creted this private tournament, and tell him/her to delete player A. and add the "stand-by player"

But there is 24 teams now? How can you create such a tournament? Isn't it limited to 20 players. Is this an exception to the rule?
