(Is it ethic to use the forum for picking at particular players?) We probably shouldn't discuss a player without him being aware.....but......he did claim a game against me 2 minutes after the time elapsed. My fault, I know, but I can imagine him waiting by his mouse as the sands of time ran out.

The time is a part of the game. Be careful when you challenge someone and think after if the time is ok for you. It hurts when a player claim a win on time. This has happen me twice in two winning games. Was too busy and forgot to control the timelimit in those games. I can't blaim my opponents for this, they have the right to do it.

Time might be a part of the game, but another matter is to lose on time, because the queenalice server is down, making it impossible to make moves on time. I lost 3 games on time because of this(2 of them where completely won for me at that time), and in my personal (and somewhat biased) opinion ethics shouldn't be expected from sites like this one.

I see this not as a valid excuse as time is added by the administrator after each such event.

I hold nothing against this player and have games against him, I just put on vecation so as to not lose time, you just have to watch out for weak color complexes and passively placed (or even hung) pieces against him. I also claim games that are lost on time, and people have against me, I would'nt take it personally. The only complaint I have with him is he didnt play 3...Qh4+ 4.Ke2 when I played the Steinitz variation of the kings gambit against him lol (not a real complaint BTW but I'd like to play the 3...Qh4+ 4.Ke2 variation from the white side of the board eventually.)
