Yes, time is a part of the game. I had personal issues arise which kept me from the games for 2 weeks. My rating is now 1790 instead of 1950. Oh well, I will just make it back!! 
btw mayber his handle spawwolfwolverine should have given you warning?

i believe what you are talking about is a 30 hour total for your moves, if you use up the time, your time til the next move decreases, i lost one this way not knowing but now do and will not except a game under these conditions

I lost 3 games on time against spawnwolfwolverine. I asked him, in fact pleaded, not to claim games against me as I have no access to internet on weekends. But come Monday I lost the 3 games. It was a long time before I recovered the rating points that I lost. Also I know I can beat him every single game that we play (why else would he claim so many games on time?)

If you can't play at the weekends, you shouldn't agree to play one-day-per-move games. It really is that simple.
