I have learned with my friend Macuei to send a message to the opponent when his time is running over. To win on time is a poor strategy if not lack of ethic. To send a message means ethic and fair play. I think everyone has right to show his opinion and advice other players about what he finds wrong.

The time is also a piece.. you have problems to play with little time he believes departures with many days..is very easy.. gets lost the servant and you lose, it is also your problem, to have played before
And I find very bad that you say that we are careful with this player, I find very sad.Now you that but I play with somebody it will be with you xmas

even in board games, there is a time limit. so why is correspondence chess different? You play a game knowingly of the time limits and if you can't play those matches then don't sign up on it. There is absolutely nothing wrong claiming matches on time because it is there for that very purpose... don't feel bad if you lose on time because it was a responsibility you had signed up from the very first time you accepted or joined a match... to insinuate that it was unethical to claim games without warning is not a qualified statement. etiquette and ethics are not the same!

playing on Netchess.com and ItsYourTurn, you pass the time-limit, you loose automaticly, done by the server. That,s great, no subject for discussions!

..i always hit the yellow envelope until it no longer appears...after repeated yellow envelopes are used up and the yellow clock appears i hit the yellow clock ( love the idea of a clock as a picture for time being up and i am never failed to be amused by the way it jumps around ).
