Who would have guessed this one year ago ??? What a thrill !
Hope is back again.

Hope never left in the USA, but there is now less reason for it. America will have its first truly socialist president.

Come on...Obama is a democrat, not a socialist.

Here in Europe people says Obama is better than Mac Cain. And I think never in the history of USA there was a president was worse than Bush. We had a president was friend to Busch, our Aznar and now people (in their same political party) wants to forget him.

Catalan, you can have your opinion, but not everyone agrees that Bush is even a bad president, let alone the worst one. We have not been physically attacked since 9/11. If he had not shown strength in attacking bin Laden and his friends, perhaps we would have been attacked again. The media (newspapers, TV, radio) have been against him from the start. Crazies made a lot of attacks on him, but it does not make those attacks true.
BTW, chouia: He is the most extreme left-wing member of the Senate. If you look at what he has done, and what he said when first running, he is definitely a socialist. Take money from those who earn it, and give it to those who don't. "From each according to his ability; to each according to his need." That is not a quote from an American statesman; it is from Karl Marx.
