Nerdling, Hitler hated the Jews, and used them as a scapegoat (an Old Testament--Jewish--idea, BTW), but that was not the point of his attacks. He was grabbing territory. He started with Austria (in German, "Eastern Kingdom"), because it had been historically the same country. And then he went on from there.
Chouia, if we were really to go to the "who was here first" idea, how far back would we go? The Israelis were not the first ones in Israel; they had to conquer the people there to take it. However, there are very few Hittites, Jebusites, etc., still around, so if that's your criterion, it will be a difficult one to satisfy. My Bible tells me God gave Israel the land, and it does not tell me that He took it back. I believe they belong where they are. OTOH, the small sliver that is now Israel would be a mere state or province in the land that was once Israel. Even so, I am not aware that they are trying to expand their territory; they are just seeking to survive in the midst of other nations that desire to destroy them. Those nations, BTW, tend to be Muslim.

Yes. Year 10 history.
I am 15...
I thought right here that I better point out. I am a religious person. I believe in God, and Jesus, and the Bible, but that doesn't change the fact that I think WW2 started over Hitler not liking the Jewish Religion.
Apologies for any debate stirred.

Nerdling, debate is fine here; that's not the problem. The problem is, instead, that you are factually wrong. Hitler used the Jews as scapegoats in Germany (1) to help him gain more power in Germany, and (2) because he hated them. However, WWII was started in Europe because he wanted to expand his territory, and make himself more powerful. The Third Reich (German for "kingdom", "reich" is in Luther's translation of the Lord's Prayer where it says "Thy kingdom come" in the King James Version) was about glory for Germany and Hitler, not destruction of the Jews. From a Christian/spiritual perspective, it could be said that WWII was begun by Satan to destroy the Jews, but historically it was not Hitler's main point.
Don't go into your world history class with this bias; you'll make it harder on yourself to learn the material if you have errant ideas lurking in the background.

Tewald, all I meant by "who was here first" was nobody can seriously say his ancestors were here in this part of the world (Israël), because a lot of different people have lived there along the ages....real "natives" are very rare in the world, except in some regions of Australia, Amazonia, The beyond the Arctic circle, and some Asian Islands....
I do agree with you when you say that Israël is only wanting to "survive", not to expand its territory by "robbing it" from its neighbours (who appear to be muslim nations). Hope so, any how....
As for the question of Hitler , the Jews, and the beginning of WW2, you are right too.
Nerdling : sorry if I upset you about your age...I am 47, and I do think that you are a perfectly respectable person, even if you are 15, but please read serious books on WW2 and the Hitlers government before (since 1933), and you will see that racism (generally speaking, not just antisemitism) was not the only reason for him to destroy....

Satan starting a war! That's funny! No evidence exist for such a concept of "Satan" and the definition of "Sin" should only be narrowed to that which can be objectively defined as evil like using force, murder, or robbery, having multiple consenting sex partners, on the other hand, isnt really a sin, as with eating meat on Friday due to the fact they hurt no one. Hitler was objectively evil as he butchered innocent people, don't forget he was friendly with the pope at the time, and who are the Jewish community to say there "gods" chosen people? He/she/it wouldnt need a "chosen" people as all races of people are equal in there abilities, but everyone claims to be a "chosen" people, suck it up, hold hands, make love, not war!
