As for The Iran question...let us say that it is about the same problem : religion is not the main question in this conflict (though they try to let us think so...), it is more a question of territory and, as always, of power and domination.
Most of muslim persons in the world are quite gentle and sincere, and all they want is to live in peace with their neighbours.
On the contrary, Iran leaders are using Islam as a reason to conquer the world. They are no sincere muslims, they are integrists, racists, sexists, and...dangerous, of course.
Let us bet that Iran leaders would not want to destroy the jews if they would not live in Israël...the only thing they want is the territory.
Unfortunately, the very old question of "who was here first" is incredibly difficult to solve in this region of the world. Of course, if you refer to History, you can easily say that the Jewish people was here first...a long long time ago.
But...if you really want to refer to this kind of fact as a rule to be observed all around the world...it would lead to very difficult things, like, for example, giving back all Northern America to the Native Indian tribes, and all Australia to the Aborigenes...
Hummm, humm...what do you think of that, tewald and Nerdling ?

This is simply what I was told. Nothing else. It has been taught to me that Hitler hated the jews, and the jews formed one side, hitlers army formed the other...

I do hope this is not the way History is taught in Australian schools... 
Besides, this is not at all a good way to learn, believing everything you are taught...a better way is to read and document yourself your own way, discuss with people who have been involved in those events (like grand-parents, for example...), or with specialists...
Anyway, I can assure you this is not at all the way WW2 is taught neither in French nor in German schools.

WW2, is actually being taught THIS year. Although, I do believe the war BEGAN because of the hatred to the jews.

So you seem to be very young...which explains a lot of things.
You will then probably change your point of view when you are older.
Life is never as simple at it appears to be.
