Therefore women who have difficulty dating should become chess players.


Only problem is, they might run off with the board :-P

When the world champion is a women will there be a tournament to determine the mens world champion and women will be excluded?

"chessplayer" is a neutral word : chess has no gender...in the Middle Age, both women and men used to play chess...it is only when it began to be played in pubs (18-19th centuries) that men only were supposed to play chess, and of course, the first chess clubs, and the first tournaments, created by men at a time when women where not considered as equal (i.e., the 19th century, the "victorian time), would not accept any women as members...
Ridiculous, but sadly true.

Yet the pieces are also known as "chessmen". Including the Queen! :-P

Well well : in french, they are known as "pièces", a feminine word ("LA pièce"), whereas the pawn (less powerfull), is called "le pion", which is...."masculine". 8-)
